Dean of College of Education, Health and Human Services Elected Chair of SUED

Congratulations to James C. Hannon, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services, who was elected to serve a 2-year term as Chair of the State University Education Deans (SUED) which began on July 1st.

SUED is an association of education deans from Ohio’s thirteen public Colleges of Education. Working in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE), the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), and other educational entities, SUED’s mission is to ensure that the highest quality candidates are prepared to meet the diverse needs of schools, agencies, and other professional settings.

"It is an honor and a privilege to serve as chair of SUED and I look forward to working with the ODHE, ODE, and colleague deans to foster strategic collaborations and planning for the benefit of K-16 education in the state of Ohio," said Dean Hannon, "I would also like to recognize individuals such as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education, Alicia Crowe, Ph.D. and Director of Educator Preparation, Jennifer Walton-Fisette, Ph.D. who have been actively engaged in SUED meetings, committees, and events, and who will likely be called upon to assist with various important initiatives over the next few years."
