Call for Art - Small Works Juried Exhibition

The Small Works Juried Exhibition is open to artists worldwide.  The exhibition will be on view at the KSU Downtown Gallery (141 E. Main St., Kent, Ohio) from January 24 - February 29, 2020.  

Deadline for entries is December 7, 2019. 

Juror: Gianna Commito

Artists must be 18 years or older.
Artists working in any media are welcome to enter up to three (3), original works of art and up to three per artist will be accepted.

Tuesday Musical Masterclass at Kent State from Spring 2019

Kent State University’s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and Tuesday Musical, based in Akron, have launched a new series that will bring world-renowned classical musicians to the Kent Campus to work with students. The Tuesday Musical Masterclass Series will also be live streamed to provide increased access to classrooms and homes across Ohio and beyond. The Wick Poetry Center welcomed poet, playwright and activist Sonia Sanchez to the May Prentice House for a meet and greet with students on Sept. 18. She met with them in the afternoon before giving a lecture in the Kiva in the evening. The Wick Poetry Center kicked off its 2019-20 event series year on September 13 with a celebration of Tommy Freeman’s life. The event was held in Room 120 of the Center for Architecture and Environmental Design with a reception afterward that expanded into the Wick Poetry Center’s Poetry Park.
