On December 17, 2018, Kent State University Police Academy Commanders and Cadets from class BAS 18-020 gathered together last night to receive their awards and certificates.  Class BAS 18-020 was one of the largest classes to date with 38 cadets and 100% passing of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission Physical Fitness Final Assessment.  Awards received were in the following categories,  Successful Completion, Perfect Attendance, High Score on the State of Ohio written exam and Class President.  https://www.flickr.com/photos/133971482@N02/sets/72157703297295461...

Kent State University Police Services is celebrating the five-year anniversary – or the 35 dog-year anniversary – of its first K-9 unit, which features 7-year-old German Shepherd Coco and her handler, Officer Anne Spahr. “She is very high spirited, very high energy and very smart,” Officer Spahr said. “She is a phenomenal work dog, very focused and thorough, but quick. The collection of gifts from SNA to the Salvation Army

The Student Nurses Association at Kent State University East Liverpool spearheaded, for the fifth year, a project to help provide gifts for 80 local children through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Nursing students, faculty and staff participated in the outreach effort.
