An incident occurs
If the incident is dismissable, a Hearing Panel is scheduled. If it is not dismissable, the Student must decide whether or not to accept responsibility.
If the Student accepts responsibility, a Sanction Hearing occurs (go to Sanction Hearing). If the Student does not accept responsibility, a Hearing Panel is scheduled (go to Hearing Panel).
Sanction Hearing
At the Sanction Hearing, a Hearing Officer issues a sanction. If the Student accepts the sanction, then the process is complete and the outcome is documented. If the Student does not accept the sanction, an Appeal may be submitted (go to Appeal).
Hearing Panel conducted
The Hearing Panel determines whether or not the Student is to be held responsible.
If the Student is determined not to be held responsible, then the process is complete and the outcome is documented. If the Student is determined to be held responsible, then the Student must decide whether or not to accept the Hearing Panel's decision.
If the Student accepts the Hearing Panel's decision, then the process is complete and the outcome is documented. If the Student does not accept the Hearing Panel's decision, then an Appeal may be submitted (go to Appeal).
Appeal
The Student submits an Appeal to the Office of Student Conduct, and a decision is made.
The process is complete and the outcome is documented.
