Kent State Trumbull Earns Spirit of the Chamber Award

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber presented Kent State University at Trumbull, along with Eastern Gateway Community College and Youngstown State University, Spirit of the Chamber awards at its annual meeting on March 17.

The schools are part of a collaborative initiative that launched in January to promote and enhance internships at the chamber.

Dr. Daniel Palmer, Kent State Trumbull’s interim dean & chief administrative officer accepted the award on behalf of the campus.

“We are extremely honored to earn this award,” Palmer said. “We are always looking for ways to partner with the business community and offer students opportunities to gain experience and advance in the direction of a meaningful career.”

The intern offices reside along the main, most heavily trafficked hallway off the Chamber’s lobby and entrance, located at 100 E. Federal Street in downtown Youngstown.

The Chamber can offer internships in a variety of areas that include marketing, event planning, government affairs, human resources, administration and office management, finance, economic development, research, business, and non-profit work.
