Career Drop-in Advising: Ask Us Anything!

Crawford College of Business & Entrepreneurship's Career Services Office is hosting career drop-in advising hours where students can “Ask Us ANYTHING”. These career drop-in advising hours are designed for students to drop in and chat with a career services professionals about any topic they wish. ALL CRAWFORD COLLEGE BUSINESS STUDENTS ARE INVITED!!
These career drop-in hours are designed as informal discussions where you can bring your career questions or thoughts and chat with professionals. The goal of our career drop-in “Ask Us ANYTHING” hours is to create a safe & welcoming space where you feel comfortable seeking advice and input on a variety of career development issues. These casual discussions will give you a chance to “ask anything” - chat about what to include on your resume, ask how to make yourself stand out, dish about what to expect in an interview, etc.
Join us every Wednesday from 12:00 2:00 pm outside the Student Success Center on the 2nd floor of Crawford Hall. Registration not necessary. Questions? Please reach out to Michelle Adkins at madkin12@kent.edu.

Sales & Marketing Career Fair

The Sales and Marketing Fair is a career fair event for students interested in connecting with employers from various industries for sales and marketing-related internships and full-time positions. The Sales and Marketing Fair is co-hosted by the PSE Fraternity, a student organization within the Sales Certificate program in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship.

Ready for Business: What is Networking

Networking is essential for having a productive experience at career fairs and securing future opportunities. This workshop covers networking basics and is designed to allow you to practice or develop your existing networking skills in a low-pressure environment. Our employer partners can give you a real-world professional perspective on the importance of networking and tips to build professional connections.

Join the Ambassador Crawford College of Business & Entrepreneurship and the office of Community Engaged Learning for an afternoon of networking and community service on Friday, October 25th from 11:30am - 1pm. Location Crawford Hall 222. Networking for Good, part of our Ready for Business event series, is a collaboration between Community Engaged Learning and the ACCBE Career Services Office. This event is designed for students and employer partners to connect, network, and learn about opportunities while working together on projects that will help members of the Kent community.

Human Resources Expo & Networking

Join us for the Human Resources Expo & Networking event, where students majoring, minoring, or pursuing a certificate in human resources or related field of study will have opportunities to explore functional areas within human resources, learn internship &/or job search strategies, and network with human resources professionals and alumni.
Careers in human resources span a variety of occupations including Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, Training & Development, and Compensation & Benefits. This HR Expo & Networking event will begin with an interactive panel of professionals discussing internship/job search strategies & tips, engage students in round table discussions based upon 1) talent acquisition & recruitment, 2) training & development, and 3) compensation & benefits, and conclude with light refreshments and a networking event for students to connect with HR professionals.
Bring a few questions for the panelists and round table facilitators to make sure you learn all YOU want to know about a career in human resources!
This event is held in collaboration with the Kent State Student Human Resource Association.

If you're not sure where to start looking for a job or internship, this workshop is for you! Join Career Services staff on Thursday, November 7th from 2 pm - 3:30 pm to learn more about searching for and applying to jobs/internships. We'll cover tips for getting started with the search, materials you may need to apply, and methods for following up effectively with potential employers. Even if you're not ready to start applying now, it's never too early to get prepared! Summer internships are recruiting now.
