Ellen Daniels received her undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, minoring in journalism. She spent the first post graduate years working for Loos Edwards & Sexauer Advertising in Akron, Ohio as a production manager, later moving to Director of Communications for Kent State Stark Campus. Daniels received her MBA from Kent State in 1986 while working for Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) as a senior consultant in their management consultant division. Subsequent positions included Director of Communications for Harshaw-Filtrol Corporation and District Manager for J.Walter Thompson Advertising, in addition to private consulting services.
Although Daniels has primarily taught sales and advanced sales classes, she has also taught Logistics, Marketing Strategies, Marketing Research, International Marketing, Advertising and Promotion Management, and Non-Profit Marketing. She is also the faculty of record for the Sales Internship and monitors the Professional Sales Certificate program.
A faculty sales coach and judge, she helps coach and train sales students for regional and national sales competitions. She is currently Faculty Advisor for Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional sales/marketing fraternity.
