After graduating from Miami University with a BS in applied science (paper science and engineering), Victor Berardi worked as a process engineer and quality assurance engineer at Appleton Papers, Inc. He left Appleton to pursue his MBA full-time at The Ohio State University with a concentration in operations and logistics management and ultimately earned his Ph.D. in operations management, with a minor in statistics, from Kent State University. Berardi began his teaching career at Bloomsburg University before being hired at the Stark Campus and he has been nominated numerous times for the Stark Campus distinguished teaching award. Berardi has published research concerning statistical process control chart design, in using and improving neural networks for forecasting and classification, as well as on improving teaching and student learning in online and traditional courses.
