LENGTH OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

The Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree program requires 4-academic years of professional study. The majority of students enter the Pharm.D. program with 3 or more years of college experience. A large number of students seek residency training in pharmacy practice post the pharmacy degree program. These residency experiences may be in a general pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy practice or other setting, dependent on the individual’s interests. Some hospital pharmacy practices or clinical faculties at pharmacy schools require a pharmacy residency.
