CMSE 2018 Summer Institute

June 11-12, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Kent State University

 

Workshops at the 2018 Summer Institute:

  • Math: 3-5 - Facilitating Multiplicative and Fractional Reasoning in Grades 3-5 (Dr. Kosko)
  • Math: High - Mathematical Modeling in the Secondary Mathematics Classroom (Dr. Caniglia)
  • Science: Middle/High - Increasing Inquiry in Middle and High School Science (Dr. Borgerding)

Detailed workshop descriptions

 

The $170 registration fee includes:

  • Lunch and refreshments each day.
  • Sample of classroom materials related to focus content.
  • Parking pass.
  • 12 hours of face-to-face workshop interaction on a grade-band specific math or science topic, and 3 online contact hours.
  • Certificate of participation hours for submitting to one’s Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) for CEUs.
  • Optional: Those desiring 1 graduate credit can elect the "option for credit" for an additional fee of $150. PLEASE NOTE: You must register and pay for the optional graduate workshop credit separately (see below).
