Appliance Donation Benefits Twinsburg ADN Program
Ensuring our faculty and students are safe during the COVID-19 pandemic is a primary concern in the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (ADN) Degree Program at the Twinsburg Academic Center (TAC).
Recently, Lowe’s in Macedonia immediately responded to Prof. Wendy Hildebrandt regarding the need for a washer and dryer in the Skills Lab. Lowe’s donated delivery, installation, and items required to install the appliances. When approached about the donation, the manager, Ralph, did not hesitate: He promptly committed to providing both a washer and dryer to the TAC. Nursing Lab Coordinator Jana Sovacool and Prof. Hildebrandt were invited to shop at the store to select which washer and dryer would best fit their needs. Read the full story.

Get a Healthy Start to 2021 With the Weigh of Life Challenge
After great results and positive employee feedback in 2020, the Weigh of Life challenge is back! Don't let the name fool you. This 12-week educational lifestyle change program is not about weight loss alone. It is designed to support sustainable weight management through self-monitoring, balanced eating and regular physical activity. Whether you are motivated by weight loss, disease prevention, or just looking to be and feel healthier in 2021, the Weigh of Life challenge is for you.
Weigh of Life runs January 11 through April 4, 2021. The challenge consists of educational materials created by Be Well Solutions health professionals, as well as accountability through daily food and activity tracking via an online platform (and now supported by an app). You complete the tracking on your own time, and you are not competing against anyone else but rather building skills and habits for lifelong success. Participants will have unlimited email access to Be Well's registered dietitians for personalized nutrition and lifestyle support throughout the challenge.
Wellness Your Way Points Too
This challenge is open to full-time, benefits eligible employees and is worth 70 Tier 2 points toward the Wellness Your Way Rewards Program. To qualify, employees must actively participate in at least 10 of the 12 weeks of the challenge and achieve an overall participation score of 70 percent of available points.
For more information about Weigh of Life, visit our Weigh of Life web page. We will also host a live introductory webinar on December 10, at 10 a.m., during which Be Well Solutions staff will explain the Weigh of Life program and what to expect, as well as answer audience questions. Attend a Health Screening and Earn $100
Get a Head Start on Tier 1 for 2021
Keeping up with our preventive care is more important now than ever. To assist employees in maintaining routine preventive care, Employee Wellness has resumed our onsite "Know Your Numbers" health screenings and flu vaccine clinics provided by our physician-owned wellness partner, Be Well Solutions. We have worked with Be Well to update our screening protocols to ensure the safety of all participants. Click here to read more about our safety measures.
Health screenings, among other preventive care activities, are incentivized within the Wellness Your Way employee wellness rewards program. Full-time, benefits eligible faculty and staff can get a head start on the rewards program for 2021 by completing Tier 1 this fall. Learn your essential numbers and earn wellness dollars for your pocket - a win/win for you and your health!

Employees who complete Tier 1 will be eligible for their $100 wellness reward in the new year. To qualify, complete these three steps by April 30, 2021:

Reminders for Regional Campus Employees
We are not hosting onsite screenings or flu clinics at the regional campuses this fall due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19. In lieu of on-campus screenings, regional campus employees may have a screening completed at a LabCorp facility at no cost to the employee, or, as is the case each year, regional campus employees are welcome to schedule a screening with Be Well at the Kent campus or with their primary care physician (PCP). The LabCorp option is available to regional campus employees ONLY. Regional campus employees can receive a flu vaccine from their PCP or at a CVS Minute Clinic (covered in full under KSU's health plans).
Regional campus employees are highly encouraged to visit our regional campus health screening page for special LabCorp instructions and locations.
To schedule an onsite screening or access the Physician Screening form or LabCorp form, please visit the Be Well portal. If you have any questions, please contact Employee Wellness at email@example.com or 330-672-0392.
