Four Glauser School of Music Students Participating in Collegiate Honor Band

Kent, Ohio — Four members of the Kent Wind Ensemble, led by Wendy K. Matthews, Ph.D., will be part of the 2022 College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Intercollegiate Band for the North Central Division Conference. They’ll rehearse and perform as part of the ensemble during the three-day conference running April 7-9 held at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Rebecca Phillips, D.M.A., director of bands at Colorado State University, leads this year’s group. The students include:

  • Jake McQuaid, flute
  • Emily Butz, clarinet
  • Tylor Davis, tenor sax
  • Brett Graves, clarinet

Acceptance into this honors ensemble is highly selective, with musicians applying from colleges and universities in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, North Dakota, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Read more about the 2022 CBDNA North Central Division Conference
