Glauser School of Music Announces Updated Ticket Prices and Policies for 2021-2022 Season

Kent, Ohio — Live concerts return to the Kent State University Glauser School’s 2021-2022 concert season. New this season: All concerts and recitals will be ticketed. Corresponding adjustments have been made to pricing, and new subscription packages have been created to keep concerts affordable and accessible.

“Safety and security is the driving force behind these updates to our ticketing policies,” said Kent McWilliams, D.M.A., director of the Glauser School. “Not only will the changes help us create a safer environment for all visitors, faculty, staff and students, they will also create a more streamlined and enjoyable concert-going experience for the entire community.”

Concerts and performances by the Kent State University Orchestra, Opera Theatre, Piano Division, and most of the Kent State Choirs have been ticketed for several years. This season, joining them as ticketed events are Kent State Bands, Jazz Studies, New Music Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and World Music. Tickets will also be sold for most faculty ensemble concerts, such as the Black Squirrel Winds and Kent Brass Quintet, and guest artists.

Single tickets are now $10 for adults over 19—a reduction from the original $15 adult and $13 senior prices. Those 18 and under will still be able to attend concerts for free with the reservation of a ticket.

New subscription packages are also available for all paid concerts. This includes the $250 All-Access Music Pass—an over $500 value. In addition, two new flexible options include the $100 Pick Your 12 and the $50 Pick Your 6. These two options can be purchased as standalone packages or combined for more flexibility and savings.

Student recitals will remain free and open to the public. However, a ticket reservation will be required to attend.

A complete performance calendar for the Glauser School’s 2021-2022 concert season will be released in mid-August. Performance dates and times, as well as concert details, will be available at www.kent.edu/music/concerts.

Subscription packages and single tickets will go on sale when the Performing Arts Box Office opens on September 13, 2021. Orders can be done online, by phone or in person. To learn more about purchasing and reserving tickets, visit www.kent.edu/music/buy-tickets
