Kent State College of Business Administration Welcomes New National Advisory Board Members

KENT, Ohio - Aug. 20, 2015 - Kent State’s College of Business Administration’s National Advisory Board has added Renée DeLuca Dolan, Matthew E. Likens and David Webster to its member list.

Renée DeLuca Dolan is founder and president of Contempo Communications, a firm providing creative/marketing services, publishing and event marketing in Northeast Ohio since 1996. Dolan is also publisher of Cleveland Business Connects (CBC) magazine, which she introduced in 2006 and has become Cleveland's largest circulated B2B magazine in Northeast, Ohio. She previously held visual design positions with American Greetings and North Coast Cable.

Dolan has received many honors including; COSE's Smart Business Rising Star Award, Weatherhead 100’s Outstanding Growth Company and Smart Business magazine's Rising Star Award.  Dolan graduated from Kent State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications.

Matthew E. Likens is president and chief executive officer of Ulthera, Inc. based in Mesa, AZ.  Ulthera was acquired in July, 2014 by Merz Pharma GmbH out of Frankfurt, Germany.  Ulthera was acquired for $600M in the fifth largest acquisition of a privately-held medical device company in U.S. history.  Likens joined Ulthera, Inc., the venture capital-backed start-up company in energy-based aesthetics in 2006. Likens began his professional career with the Johnson & Johnson Corporation. He then spent more than twenty years in domestic and international sales, marketing and general management roles at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, culminating in the positions of President, Baxter Biotech North America, followed by President of Baxter's Renal Division in the U.S.

In 2012, the Phoenix Business Journal honored Mr. Likens by naming him one of Arizona's Most Admired CEOs.  Likens graduated cum laude from Kent State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in marketing.

David Webster is president and chief executive officer of Electrical Components International, based in St. Louis, Missouri. Webster became a partner at Mills & Partners, a management firm dedicated to sourcing, management and operation of private equity investments exclusively for Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Incorporated. In 2001, Webster became the co-founder of Hanley Partners Inc. At both firms, Webster was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and executing more than $5 billion of leveraged buyout and private equity transactions. As a partner at Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst Incorporated, Webster held ownership interests and served on the board of directors in a number of companies.

The National Advisory Board is comprised of prominent College of Business Administration alumni and corporate friends throughout the United States. The board brings an external point of view that enables the College of Business Administration to connect with valuable external constituencies for information, support and expertise.
