 On Saturday, July 16, the Kent State High-Power Rocket Team was recognized at the 2022 Spaceport America Cup Awards Ceremony for their 1st place win in the 10,000 ft AGL apogee student researched and developed (SRAD)  solid rocket propulsion system, also known as the 10K SRAD Solid category.  One-hundred and forty-nine teams were invited to participate in the competition, and a total of 100 teams accepted the invitation. Recent Kent State journalism graduate Kelly Krabill’s online broadcast feature on urban farming recently was named the National Winner by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ). On July 16 2022, the existing Suicide and Crisis Lifeline will make the switch from its 1-800 number to a new and easy to remember number, 988. Now more than ever people are experiencing suicidal crisis or mental health related distress. According to SAMHSA, people are going without the care and resources they need and is the reason behind the rollout of the new Lifeline number.
