The Student Multicultural Center is preparing to kick off the 2021-22 academic year with the in-person return of Kupita/Transiciones (K/T). The four-day orientation, from August 18-22, is designed to help facilitate a smooth transition to Kent State for first-year and transfer students of color. Hilariously off-kilter music and comedy group The Cleverlys will kick off the eleventh season at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State University - Tuscarawas on September 9 at 7:30 p.m. The Cleverlys are a one-of-a-kind comedy/music blend coming from the remote part of the Ozark Mountains, near Cane Spur, Arkansas. Digger Cleverly, along with his nephews Ricky Lloyd, Sock, DVD and Cub, make up The Cleverlys. From now through Sunday, Sept. 19, Cockeye Creamery, located at 1805 1/2, Parkman Rd NW in Warren, will be serving its Kent State-inspired ice cream “Black Squirrel” to raise money for Kent State University at Trumbull's Care Closet.
