In May 2018, Kent State University’s Wick Poetry Center received a $90,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. Since then, the center has been busy strategically planning and implementing the River Stanzas Project in communities around Northeast Ohio. Kent State University at Tuscarawas engineering technology students collaborated on their capstone project during the spring semester and unveiled a search and rescue robot on finals night in early May. An interdisciplinary team of Kent State University faculty will participate in a $13.3 million grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to improve educational outcomes for Nigerian children.
