Meet our USG

Meet our 2025-2026 Kent State Trumbull USG Members

Emilia Colosimo

Hello! My name is Emilia Colosimo, and I serve as President of the Undergraduate Student Government at Kent State Trumbull. I am a proud BSN major, President of the Student Nurses Association and co-chair in the Honors Program. Nursing has always been my passion, and after graduation I plan to pursue travel nursing before returning to school to become a Nurse Anesthetist. I love adventure and enjoy immersing myself in new cultures through traveling, learning new languages, exploring nature and cooking cuisines from around the world.

One of my most memorable Kent State experiences was studying abroad in Florence, Italy, where I spent three months learning about international healthcare policy and the Italian language. That experience strengthened my love for global learning and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone. Through my work in USG, I want to inspire students to take chances — whether that means joining an organization, attending events, making new friends or studying abroad. My goal is to help create a vibrant, supportive campus where every Flash feels empowered to make the most of their time here.

Madeline Pinto

Madeline “Maddie” Pinto — Vice President

Hello Flashes! My name is Madeline Pinto, but most people call me Maddie, and I serve as Vice President for Undergraduate Student Government. I am currently enrolled in the College of Nursing and working toward earning my BSN. My passion for nursing comes from the incredible care I received from pediatric nurses throughout my childhood, and their compassion inspired me to pursue a career focused on helping others. I am excited to continue growing in the field and to one day give that same level of care and comfort to my own patients.

As Vice President, I am passionate about building strong student life on our Trumbull Campus and working with fellow officers to create an energetic and welcoming environment for everyone. I love seeing students get involved, share their ideas and watch those ideas come to life through campus events and initiatives. My advice to anyone thinking about joining USG is simple — go for it! It is one of the best ways to make a real impact, meet new people and help shape the student experience here at Kent State Trumbull.

Arayna Seger

Arayna Seger — Treasurer

Hi! My name is Arayna Seger, and I am excited to serve as Treasurer for Undergraduate Student Government. I am currently double majoring in Psychology and Criminology at Kent State Trumbull and am a proud member of the Honors College. I am passionate about helping others, listening to different perspectives and learning something new every day — if I learn at least one new thing, I consider it a great day. On campus, I am also involved with the Psychology Club, and outside of school I work at a local farmers market, which I absolutely love because it keeps me connected to my community.

In the future, I plan to earn my doctorate degree, although I am still exploring exactly where that journey will take me. No matter what path I choose, my goal is to serve others and make a positive difference. When I am not studying or working, I enjoy spending time with my two cats, Asher and Draco, or with my sister, Mylee, who is my best friend and biggest inspiration. I am proud to be a Flash and hope every student finds success, stays kind and always does their best.

Jovana Pirivat

Jovana Pirivat — Secretary

Hello! My name is Jovana (pronounced ya-va-nuh), and I serve as Secretary for Undergraduate Student Government. I am currently a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in clinical trials and a minor in microbiology. I am extremely passionate about my studies and hope to continue my education by earning a master’s degree and becoming an infectious disease epidemiologist working within a local health department. I have always been interested in science, research and improving community health outcomes.

Joining USG has given me the opportunity to become more involved on campus while building leadership skills and connecting with other students. I enjoy meeting new people, collaborating on ideas and finding ways to enhance student life here at Kent State Trumbull. One of my main goals is to help create more engaging activities and opportunities so students feel just as connected and excited about campus life as they would at a larger university. I look forward to helping grow a welcoming and active campus community where every student feels encouraged to get involved and make meaningful connections.
