Senior Rilee Wilson receives George Eastman Outstanding Senior in Criminology and Justice Studies award

Kent State University at Trumbull senior Rilee Wilson has had a memorable April. The Psychology and Criminology and Justice Studies double major earned first place in the spring Student Showcase for Research, Scholarship, and Creativity. Wilson was then named this year's George Eastman Outstanding Senior in Criminology and Justice Studies award winner at Alpha Kappa Delta's (AKD) spring banquet. Each spring, AKD and Kent State University's Department of Sociology recognize academic achievements and present scholarships and awards in Criminology & Justice Studies (or Justice Studies).

"This is such an honor," Wilson said. "I've worked hard, but I couldn't have done it without great professors and people around me here at Kent State Trumbull."

Mary G. Wilson, Ph.D., professor, Department of Sociology, nominated Wilson for the award.

"Rilee is a tremendous student and deserves the recognition," Wilson said. "They have worked hard throughout their college career and are one of those students who not only grasps concepts but digs deeper to learn more."
