Kent State College of Business Administration Only Online MBA with Quality Matters Program Design Certification in the Nation
KENT, Ohio – The Kent State College of Business Administration’s Online MBA program recently became the first and only Online MBA program in the nation to earn Quality Matters Program Design Certification.
Quality Matters™ (QM) is an international, faculty-centric, nonprofit organization focused on improving design and certifying the quality of online and hybrid courses. According to the Quality Matters website, the certification recognizes programs that are designed around measurable learning objectives or competencies. In addition to the College’s Online MBA program, the College’s Certified Business Advisor (CBA) Certificate also earned QM Online Program Design Certification.
“The Online Program Design certification highlights the College’s commitment to ensuring that quality is upheld by ensuring courses align to measurable program outcomes, are designed by QM-knowledgeable faculty and distance learning staff, and reviewed every few years to ensure they are meeting QM standards,” said Amy Grincewicz, Director of Instructional Design for the College of Business Administration.
According to Grincewicz, a QM certified course illustrates that the course is student-friendly, consistent, logical and easy to navigate. QM Online Program Design Certification recognizes online programs offering courses that are well aligned with program learning outcomes. Quality Matters standards guide course developers in creating the most effective learning experiences. All of Kent State’s Online MBA core courses are QM certified.
