Why did you pursue podiatric medicine?
I have a desire to work in developing nations where ambulation is critical to life.
Why did you choose Kent State?
The student body and professors were welcoming and courteous which fosters a learning environment where we all wish for each other to succeed.
Favorite aspect of Kent State now that you are a student here?
I’m glad that the administration and faculty are doing everything in their power to keep the campus open to the students during this pandemic.
What advice do you have for anyone considering podiatry school?
Determine if this is the field that’s right for you. Podiatry is a specialized field that has its limitation with the scope of practice, but it is exactly that limited scope that allows us to excel and provide optimal care to our patients.
How do you strike a balance between classwork, studying, and social activities?
There’s a definite balance that is necessary for your own mental and physical wellness. It is imperative to your success to create a schedule and follow it. If you budget your time well and you’ll be amazed how you can get away to go do fun social activities while being on top of your studies.
Any suggestions for prospective students on building/ maintaining a balance?
Before classes start trying to build connections with classmates and find a rhythm of studying and personal time that works for you.
What one word describes you best?
Determined
What are some activities you are involved in at KSUCPM?
Currently a lot is shut down due to the ongoing pandemic, but I’m looking forward to joining the soccer club and trying to start a BBQ club!

Learning how to become a remote learner. Essentially, everything is virtual and accountability is on you to make sure that you do what you need to accomplish every day.
What one word describes KSUCPM?
Respect
What advice would you offer to any prospective students wishing to attend KSUCPM who are in the current application process?
Reach out and ask questions to the admissions team and students.
Most challenging course and why?
Cell and Tissue due to a different method of course delivery than I’ve been used too.
