Harry Goldsmith, DPM, FACFAS

Harry Goldsmith, DPM was an esteemed OCPM Class of 1976 alumni whom contributed many years of dedication to the field of podiatry. Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine is honoring Dr. Goldsmith posthumously, and will celebrate his life and career at his induction into the Hall of Fame Society on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Dr. Goldsmith graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now KSUCPM) in 1976, and was certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (administrative diplomate), a Certified Surgical Foot & Ankle Coder, a member of CPMA and APMA, and a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He practiced podiatry in California for many years before devoting himself full-time to a career in consulting. A valued consultant to many national third-party payers, individual practitioners and groups for whom he provided coding, medical review, quality assurance, and practice management expertise, Dr. Goldsmith  was a nationally recognized coding expert and in-demand speaker. 

Known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and generosity, Dr. Goldsmith was passionate about giving back to the profession. His ardor for podiatry led him to found Codingline, an educational and informational company specializing in foot and ankle coding, billing, reimbursement, and practice management.

Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine is saddened by the passing of its alumnus, Harry Goldsmith, DPM, following a courageous battle with cancer.
