Marchelle L. Suppan, DPM, FACFAS

 Marchelle L. Suppan, DPM, FACFAS is an esteemed OCPM Class of 1980 alumni, and is a 2018 inductee of the KSUCPM Hall of Fame Society. 

Dr. Suppan earned a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University before continuing on to earn her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now KSUCPM) in 1980. In the years that followed, Dr. Suppan went on to complete a surgical residency program at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, OH, and later, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Ashland University. Her licenses, certifications and fellowships include: Affiliate Member of the American College of Healthcare Executives; Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons; Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons; Diplomate and Administrative Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She has given back to education through her various past and present teaching appointments, including at the University of Akron, Wayne College, Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Director of Residency Training at Dunlap Memorial Hospital Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, and still serves as a lecturer on numerous topics ranging from clinical and business topics, to population health and telemedicine. 

Dr. Suppan is a well respected member of the podiatric medical community with the following professional recognitions:Gafford Ethics Award, OCPM; Thomas Meyer Award for Dedicated Service and Outstanding Leadership, awarded by the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association; Young Podiatrist of the Year, Awarded by the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association; Champion of Podiatry Award, awarded by the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association; Distinguished Alumni 2008, awarded by the University of Akron, Wayne College Alumni Association; Distinguished Lifetime Service Award 2015, awarded by the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association; Aultman Physician Leadership Academy 2015 Mentor; Paul L. Powell Citizen of the Year Award, Orrville Ohio 2015, 2016; and now, the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine Hall of Fame, 2018.

Today, Dr. Suppan is the President and CEO of the Aultman Medical Group, consisting of primary care and specialty medical practices of the Aultman Health Foundation. AMG consists of over 200 physicians and advanced practice providers in 20 specialties, with over 500 employees in 6 countries. Dr. Suppan also serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Akron-Wayne College, as well as on the Board of Directors for The Wilderness Center.
