CPM Represented at International Wound Care Congress

CPM alumni don’t just graduate to become trusted foot and ankle surgeons - they are renowned experts in the field worldwide! Most recently, two were invited to represent both CPM and the United States at an International Wound Care Congress in Dubai.

The Annual Allied Academies International Wound Care Congress is known to be a gathering of world-renowned academicians, researchers, business delegates, principal investigators, nurses, and top- branded exhibitors that unite to present and explore the future of wound and tissue science medicine. On February 23rd and 24th of this year, Director of Wound Care Research, Windy Cole, DPM, CSWP, Class of 1999 and CPM Advisory Board Member, David Alper, DPM, Class of 1983 were invited to speak at the 7th Annual Congress. Cole served as a keynote speaker, presenting her original research, a pilot study titled “The utility of a wireless electroceutical dressing in the treatment of chronic venous leg ulcers”. Alper followed with his presentation titled, “Initial wound evaluation and treatment in a podiatrist’s office / who and what is a podiatrist?”.

Cole says she was excited and honored at the opportunity to present her work, and was given a certificate of recognition for her keynote presentation by the Allied Academies.
