Dear KSUCPM Alumni,
This July, I began my service as Interim Dean of the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, and I wanted to introduce myself to you in that role.
As a graduate of this College, KSUCPM is much more than an institution I now have the privilege of leading. It is part of my own story. The education, experiences, and relationships I gained here helped shape the physician and leader I became, and that connection makes this responsibility especially meaningful to me.
I know that our alumni are one of the College’s greatest strengths. You carry the KSUCPM name into practices, hospitals, communities, and the profession every day. As I step into this role, I want to strengthen that connection and ensure our alumni remain an important part of the College’s future.
Before looking ahead, I also want to recognize Dr. Allan Boike for his leadership as Dean. His commitment to KSUCPM and to the podiatric profession has left a meaningful and lasting impact on our College. I have big shoes to fill, and I am grateful for the foundation he leaves behind.
We have an exceptional foundation on which to build our future — talented faculty and staff, dedicated students, accomplished alumni, and a profession that needs strong, innovative leaders. I believe the opportunity ahead of us is significant.
I also believe our alumni have an important voice in that future. I welcome your ideas, perspectives, questions, and concerns, and I hope you will reach out to me directly. I look forward to reconnecting with many of you and to finding new ways for our alumni to engage with and support the College.
