It has been several years since Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine has seen an official Alumni Association. Upon acquisition by the University, an alumni association unique to the College of Podiatric Medicine was disbanded and merged into the Kent State counterpart. Still lacking a syndicate unique to podiatric medicine in 2023, a group of alumni are taking it upon themselves to join together and build a brand new alliance - KSUCPM’s Alumni Alliance.
Dr. Nilin Rao, Class of 2017 decided to reach out to some fellow alumni after realizing the need for a formal organization. "We wanted to provide alumni of the college with a vehicle to stay connected, get involved, and give back. We have a lot to be proud of, as Alumni of KSUCPM, and our hope is that our new alumni association can provide an avenue for alumni to come together to build relationships and show support for the college, students, and community. Our profession is in a critical place right now, and our first objective is focusing on supporting the college in their recruitment efforts. We hope to build a positive, cohesive and supportive alumni community and are excited about reconnecting our incredible alumni with the college."
The mission of the KSUCPM Alumni Alliance is to cultivate and reinforce a vibrant and inclusive alumni community committed to intellectual, professional, and personal growth amongst its members, serving the community, and deepening connections between the alumni, students, and their alma mater.
The KSUCPM Alumni Alliance will officially launch this August at the alumni weekend festivities. This is a team effort, and we welcome the input and help of our amazing alumni community. More information on membership info will be made available via our social media pages in the months to come.
