Congratulations to clinical psychology doctoral student Megan Korhummel who has been selected to receive a 2026 Society for Affective Science Amplifying Diversity Award! Megan was identified as an individual who is expanding the diversity of the Society for Affective Science community and the perspectives represented in affective science research. In addition to the award, Megan has been invited to give an award presentation during the upcoming Society for Affective Science Conference in March. Megan works under the mentorship of Dr. Karin Coifman in the Department of Psychological Sciences, and Megan’s research focuses on how people adapt to adversity across both everyday stressors and major life disruptions, with particular interest in the emotional processes that shape psychological well-being and other long-term outcomes.
