Group Settings

Group settings are only available from the group home page.

Select either the Edit button (under "Open Utilities" on the front view) or the Edit tab (while in edit mode) to access the following group options.

Title - the name of the group

Embargo - This checkbox keeps a page or group hidden from search engines while allowing viewers with the proper link to view it. This link is able to be copied after saving/editing the page.

Group Short Name - Changes should only be made to this field by your web team representative.

Campus Location - select the campus location of your group

Group Media - Home page header/slider images.

  • Images will be added by either uploading them via the "Add Files" option at the top or by locating an image that already has been uploaded to Drupal (below the "Add Files" option, can be searched/filtered.)
  • Feature images should be at least 1500px x 600px and no larger than 1MB.
  • Media can be reordered by dragging

Group Theme - select the group theme from the available options

Admin/Academic Paragraphs - These "paragraphs" are the content blocks for your homepage. Use the "Add Paragraph" button to select content blocks and then populate accordingly. "Blank WYSIWYG" will give you a text field just like the Body field on basic pages. Other elements (accordions, tabs, teasers) can be populated with other nodes. Calls to Actions - home page action Items are entered in the Paragraphs section.

Group user inheritance/permission inheritance - these should remain as they are setup.  If adjustments are required either contact your web team representative or submit a support ticket.

Groups Audience - if this group is the child of another group, the parent should be selected, otherwise select None

Save - This saves your changes.
