Elizabeth Howard, an award-winning instructor in the Honors College Freshman Honors Colloquium, passed away on April 10th, 2021. Dr. Howard’s contributions to the Honors College and Kent State University meant much to our students and colleagues over the years. Catie Woodward is a third-year honors student from Canton, Ohio, majoring in nursing. Though she has had many other accomplishments in her time at Kent State, Catie’s most recent success was performing undergraduate research in the nursing program.As part of her nursing major, Catie had to complete research with a nursing faculty member and present her research at a podium presentation in December of 2020. He is also a member of the 2020 induction class of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society, founded in 1776.Moranelli is a political science major with minors in pre-law and psychology.
