Continuous Improvement
CELEMI Agile Move™
In CELEMI Agile Move™, participants work in teams to explore and develop an Agile mindset. This digital business simulation is set in a fictitious company dealing with the typical operational, strategic and leadership challenges that many organizations are facing today.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training and Certification
Kent State’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Training and Certification is a focused, intense program for continuous improvement change agents looking to advance beyond the Green Belt level. These change agents will possess a thorough understanding of all the Lean Six Sigma methods and gain a high-level of competence in the subject matters contained within the DMAIC project phases.
Lean Leadership Executive Overview
In this program, the facilitator provides executive leadership with an overview of Lean management concepts that will enable them to lead and support a Lean business transformation.
Lean Kaizen Event
Today, enormous amounts of waste exist in office and service environments. Delays, bottlenecks, errors and work-arounds are very common. Non-value added work can be as high as 70 percent. The Lean methodology can help reduce or eliminate these wastes. A Lean Kaizen Event is an intense and focused three-day improvement event where participants use Lean techniques, workplace teams, brainstorming and problem solving to rapidly make immediate and tangible improvements in office processes and information flow.
Lean Healthcare Certification
Today more than ever, hospitals are faced with the challenge to reduce costs and increase capacities while delivering increasingly better patient care.
Leading a Lean Transformation
The leadership group in an organization plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and have direct responsibility for achieving results. At the same time, their functional areas (and even their own roles) will be affected as Lean techniques eliminate non-value-added activities. As a result, it is essential that this group understands why improvement is required, their important role in the Lean organization and how they can contribute to success.
Introduction to Minitab
Participants will learn to use Minitab statistical software to analyze data using the basic tenants of the program.
How to Think About Data
In school we learn about mathematics, but not how to think about data. We are taught formulas, theories, postulates and axioms, but not how to think about data. We learn definitions, but not how to think about data and how to understand data.
GD&T
GD&T is the common language of engineering drawings. In 1994, the Industry Standard underwent a major revision. This comprehensive program covers all the changes and provides the participant with a working knowledge of Mechanical Drawings. The program includes a text book entitled, GD&T Participant’s Guide, published by Excel Partnership and a GD&T Slide Rule.
FMEA
This program is designed to provide training for engineering, quality and technical professionals needing to conduct Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA) regarding both process and design initiatives. Training will not only include FMEA, but methods and techniques for determining the proper inputs for both process and design phases. Each participant will be thoroughly trained and will be able to participate in the preparation and the application of FMEA.
