Scholarships Open to all Ambassador Crawford College Students

Ambassador Crawford College offers a robust list of scholarships available to all ACCBE students. Annually, all ACCBE scholarships are due March 1. Also, view our major-specific scholarships, first-year student scholarships, and education abroad scholarships.

You only need to fill out the application once to apply for most Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship scholarships listed below. Some scholarships may require a separate application.

Arden L. Allyn Cup

Each year an engraved cup is presented to a graduating senior in honor of Arden L. Allyn. In order to qualify for this award, you must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and exhibit leadership in student organizations and other community activities.

Alumni Student Endowed Award

Two awards will be given to one senior and one junior who demonstrate leadership and service. To qualify you must officially be declared a business major, have a senior (minimum of 90 credit hours) or junior (60 to 89 hours) class standing and have a minimum 2.50 GPA.

Business Alumni KARE Scholarship

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must demonstrate leadership skills and outstanding service both on campus and in the Kent community. Additionally, you must be an Ambassador Crawford College major, have a minimum 3.00 overall GPA, and have completed 60 credit hours by the start of the fall semester.

Crishal Family Endowed Scholarship

This tuition- only, renewable scholarship is preferred for a female undergraduate student. To receive this scholarship, you must be serious-minded, focused, goal-oriented and have a desire to become successful in your chosen business profession; minimum GPA of 2.80 required.

Delta Sigma Pi Key

We, the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, choose the recipient of this scholarship key, presented by Delta Sigma Pi, a professional fraternity in commerce and business administration. In order to receive this key, you must be a graduating senior with the highest academic average.

Donna & Roger Derr Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is for undergraduate students who have demonstrated leadership on campus and within the community. The recipient will be chosen based on previous academic performance, financial need and conclusions drawn from review of your application.

Raymond W. Evans Scholarship

Scholarship recipient must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major and must demonstrate financial need. Recipient must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and demonstrated campus and community leadership.

FedEx Business Scholar Fund

Two Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship majors will be selected for this award. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need through completion of FAFSA and being Pell Grant eligible. Preference will also be given to underrepresented students.

Finish Line Achievement Grant (FLAG)

Full time junior or senior undergraduate students who are pursuing any major in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship may apply for this grant. The student must be in good academic standing and have financial need as determined by FAFSA. This grant is renewable if the student recipient is a junior.

David R. Fitzsimmons Family Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must a full-time student with at least a sophomore class standing and a minimum 2.00 GPA. You also must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship and demonstrate financial need.

Janice Focke Scholarship

The recipient will be selected based upon demonstrated involvement in clubs, activities, or community events that celebrate women. This scholarship will support underrepresented student populations. The recipient must demonstrate financial need as determined by a FAFSA. This scholarship is renewable.

Gross Family Scholarship

This scholarship is available to business and education majors. To be eligible, you must have a minimum 30 credit hours completed prior to the beginning of fall semester and a minimum 2.25 overall GPA.

The International Material Marketing Society - L. Harris Memorial Scholarship

For this scholarship, you must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major, have a minimum GPA of 2.75, and have completed at least 30 credit hours.

JB Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major, have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours and have a minimum 3.00 overall GPA. You also must demonstrate leadership and service to Kent State and the surrounding community.

Frank J. Kelly Scholarship

For this scholarship, you must have at least 30 credit hours completed before the start of the fall semester and at least a 3.00 overall GPA.

Edward E. Kral Endowed Scholarship

The recipient must be a full time freshman or sophomore enrolled in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship with a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. The award is non-renewable.

Michael J. Maykut Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship Scholarship

Scholarship recipient must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major and must demonstrate financial need through the completion of the FAFSA. This award is renewable through the recipient's senior year of study and must maintain a minimum 2.50 GPA.

Carol and Lellan McFarland Scholarship Endowment Fund

If you have financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.00, you may qualify for this scholarship fund. You may also be able to receive this scholarship beyond one academic year as long as you maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA.

WM McKean and Mary Ann Williams Business Scholarship

Recipients shall be selected on the basis of being enrolled in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship as a junior or senior.  The recipients must also be from the greater Akron area with students from Akron being given first consideration.  This award is renewable for junior recipients to use for their senior year.

Albert Miles Memorial Scholarship

For this scholarship, you must be a declared business major with a sophomore or junior class standing (30 to 89 credit hours). You also must have a minimum 3.00 overall GPA.

Charles J. Pilliod Endowed Scholarship

Do you have a demonstrated interest in international business? If so, this may be the scholarship for you. You must have a minimum 3.00 GPA and be of a sophomore class standing or higher. Additionally, you must hold a leadership role in a student organization and have relevant work experience. Funds may be used for tuition, room and board, fees, travel expenses and books and supplies.

Milan W. Powers Endowed Scholarship

You must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major, have financial need, a minimum 3.00 GPA, completed at least 30 credit hours by the start of the fall semester and demonstrate leadership on campus and the community in order to qualify for this scholarship. Preference will be given if you graduated from Field High School in Brimfield, OH.

The Stevens Family Scholarship

You must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major in your Junior or Senior year who shows great potential in your major by having a minimum 3.00 GPA and have financial need. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, room and board and books.

Joseph and Judith Tirpak Scholarship

For this award, you must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major and have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours by the start of the fall semester. You also must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and financial need. Preference will be given if you are a resident of Lake County.

John W. Troxell College of Business Administration Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a First Generation Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major that has financial need determined by the FAFSA. Successful recipient must maintain a 2.50 GPA. Scholarship funds may be applied to tuition, room and board, fees and books and supplies.

James J. Unger Business Scholarship

If you are an undergraduate student of junior or senior status who is not eligible for academic merit awards and also not eligible for state or federal grant money, then this scholarship might be the right fit for you. In order to be eligible, you must have a minimum 2.00 overall GPA and a minimum 2.50 major GPA. This award can be renewed for your senior year if you meet the criteria. There is a preference if you maintain full or part time employment, especially during summers, to contribute toward your education costs. You must complete a FAFSA for consideration for this award.

Rolland and Marilyn Walk Scholarship

You must be an Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major with Sophomore, Junior or Senior status to apply for this renewable (up to three years) scholarship. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, room and board and books.

Elaine Wylie and Marvin G. Haught Scholarship

To be eligible, you must be a declared Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship major, and have a minimum of 30 credit hours completed by the beginning of the fall semester and a minimum 3.00 overall GPA.
