Concentrations are available in choral, orchestral and wind band conducting. Students studying conducting at Kent State will receive significant time on the podium and mentorship from faculty.

Ethnomusicology

Kent State is one of only 27 schools of music in the U.S. offering a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology. The division also offers the World Music minor to undergraduate students as well as ensembles dedicated to the study of African and Asian music.
