Message from Dean Boike
We have entered uncharted territory in this era of COVID-19. Each day members of the College of Podiatric Medicine and Kent State University are working together to address the priorities of student safety and the educational experience. Our students are rising to the demands of serving in healthcare during a global pandemic.
I understand that this is a trying time for everyone, especially as students pursuing a career in medicine. I imagine that you are pursuing medicine to serve others – and the most vulnerable around us. That is especially the case today as doctors, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team are serving on the front lines of this pandemic. Pursuing medicine is not easy, and it is particularly difficult at a time like this. Be assured, though, that your commitment to medicine is important. We need individuals like you more than ever before.
If I can answer any questions about the College, please reach out at podiatry@kent.edu. I look forwarding to speaking with or meeting you very soon.
Thank you,
Allan Boike, DPM, FACFAS
