Who is eligible to win an award?

To be eligible for a KSU Trumbull scholarship award, students will have to be either a part-time or a full time Kent State University Trumbull student:

  • The two semesters the awards will be awarded
    • The scholarship money will be awarded in two equal payments in Fall of 2022 and Spring of 2023.
  • 1st place-$1000 KSU Trumbull Scholarship to part-time/full-time KSU Trumbull student(s)
  • 2nd place-$750 Trumbull Scholarship to part-time/full-time KSU Trumbull student(s)
  • 3rd place-$500 Trumbull Scholarship to part-time/full-time KSU Trumbull student(s)
  • If any winners are not enrolled at KSU Trumbull during the time of the award, then they will receive a smaller monetary award instead:
    • 1st place-$250
    • 2nd place-$100
    • 3rd place-$50

Students will be judged during one of two posters sessions and need to be present, in front of their work (i.e., poster) during that time. The morning session is 9-11 am, the afternoon session is 2-4 pm.*

If a student(s) cannot attend the entire session, please let Dr. Russell know so she can be sure to have judges come to the poster and rate the work while the student is present.

*Poster judging will be virtual this year and carried out over 48 hours.
