White Coat Ceremony
The University has continued to review and assess the COVID-19 public health situation. While some things are improving in the state of Ohio, there are still many restrictions in place to ensure the safety of individuals and the community.
At this point, we do not feel that we can sufficiently follow public health guidelines relative to social distancing for the White Coat Ceremony scheduled on July 31, 2020. We have decided to postpone the ceremony. We understand that this may be disappointing. Our college has viewed this ceremony as your entrance into a life-long career of learning and professionalism in medicine.
We will be discussing a new possible date with the college administration and faculty and will release more details when a decision is made. Because of the many “unknowns” of COVID-19, and the type of event this ceremony is (often welcoming 500+ individuals) a decision may not be made for several months.
White Coat Size Needed
At this time, we are still requesting your coat size so that we can place the order once companies resume normal operations. Please send your white coat size to KSUCPM at firstname.lastname@example.org.
White Coat Ceremony Fee
Students are charged a fee for the White Coat Ceremony. This fee will be left on your account in hopes that we can host the event later this fall. In the event that we are not able to do so, the fee will be refunded and again assessed to each student when we are able to hold the White Coat Ceremony.
