New Freshman | Kent State University

New Freshman

A New Freshman is one who has earned a high school diploma or GED certificate, and has not attended another college, university, or technical school.

Students who have participated in a Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program during high school are considered New Freshman although they have earned college credit.  They will need to submit a transcript from the institution where they earned college credit.
