Student Services Advising hours

Meet with an academic advisor

Advising is primarily by appointment. The Geauga Campus and Regional Academic Center advisors are available both days and evenings. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Geauga Campus at (440) 834-4187, or the Regional Academic Center at (330) 888-6400 speaking with the receptionist. If you would prefer to e-mail an advisor, scroll down to see the Advisor list.

Required Advising

  • Freshmen and Sophomores are required to meet with an advisor every semester to schedule classes. You will not be able to register for classes if you do not meet with your advisor.
  • New students must be admitted and have taken any required placement tests before meeting with an advisor. For more information click here: https://www.kent.edu/geauga/newly-admitted-students
  • College Credit Plus students need to request an appointment with Cindy Mako Robinson. For more information click here: https://www.kent.edu/geauga-ccp
  • Students interested in the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must attend an information session prior to meeting with an advisor. For more information click here: https://www.kent.edu/geauga/nursing-adn

Academic Advising plays an essential role in helping students formulate sound educational and career plans based on their interests, abilities and academic classification.

Students who work with an Academic Advisor increase their chances for satisfaction and success in completing an academic degree. Proper advising can help students grow intellectually while expediting their degree completion. Undergraduates and graduates are advised in the collegial unit of their major.
