Student Nurses Association at Geauga: Purposeful Fundraising

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) at the Geauga Campus held a basket auction last month to benefit the American Red Cross.

Bailey Hill, Meagan Ricker, and Michelle Lang, along with faculty member Kerry Myers are responsible for organizing the event. All three students are seniors who will graduate this August.

This was the first activity for the Student Nurses Association for the spring semester. During the fall of 2018, they held a canned food drive for the Burton Congregational Church, collected clothes for Women’s Safe, and made blankets for Briar Hill Nursing Home & Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.

The SNA chose the Red Cross because it serves the community in so many positive ways including blood products, community services and disaster relief.

Congratulations for successfully raising over $300 to benefit the American Red Cross.
