The School of Lifespan Development & Educational Sciences sees its strengths in its quality teaching, engagement with the education and human service community, and scholarly activity leading to knowledge and skills for the attainment of a professional career in the fields of counseling and counselor education, educational and school psychology, instructional technology, human development and family studies, gerontology, rehabilitative counseling, and special education.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT & FAMILY SCIENCE AT KENT STATE STARK
Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) is the study of how people develop physically, emotionally and socially within the context of the family and society. HDFS offers an interdisciplinary approach to individual and family development across the lifespan. Kent State's program focuses on child and adolescent development, adult development and aging, biological aspects of human development, family studies, intervention research, and developmental research methods. Students in HDFS will learn about the stages of development from infancy to adulthood, how to promote healthy family development, diversity and many other skills!

LONG-TERM CARE ADMINISTRATION AT KENT STATE STARK
Long-Term Care Administration (LTCA) provides students the education, qualifications and eligibility for state and national licensure eligibility to work as administrators in long-term care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement communities, congregate living, home-care, adult care centers, hospice care, and other long-term services and supports.
