Advising Services

WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

To slow transmission of COVID-19 and remain consistent with recommendations from state health authorities to practice physical distancing, all Kent State University campuses are closed until further notice.

The entire advising staff is working remotely. See instructions below on how to schedule an advising appointment to be conducted over the phone.

Email Academic Advising at ksustarkadvisors@kent.edu and your questions will be answered as soon as possible.

Talk with an Academic Advisor

Until further notice, Kent State Stark academic advisors will conduct advising appointments over the phone. When you schedule your advising appointment online, be sure to add your phone number to the advising note so your advisor can contact you.

Freshmen and sophomores should meet with an advisor once per semester. Juniors and seniors are required to meet with an advisor once per year.

  • New students must be admitted and have taken any required placement tests before talking with an advisor.
  • College Credit Plus students should schedule appointments with their advisors here.
  • New freshmen (recent high school graduates) are required to attend First Step, our first year advising and registration program. Do not make an appointment with an advisor. View First Step instructions.
