This section highlights a few of the ongoing projects conducted by our faculty that will show you why we’re a national leader in brain health research. You’ll have a chance to learn about new insights into reducing the risk for Alzheimer’s disease, how our brains can “turn up our temperature” to help us lose weight, important differences in the brain waves of Tibetan monks, and some others.
The ESDRI is committed to supporting research concerning both natural and built systems and advancing conversations about the complex, dynamic relationships between humanity and the environment in this new era of global human influence – the Anthropocene. In support of this mission, we’ve developed opportunities and programming to build our research community.
The goal of the university’s Global Understanding Research Initiative is to foster new interdisciplinary collaborations, with a particular focus on research that spans not only disciplinary boundaries but geographic boundaries as well.
