Business Management | Kent State Geauga | Kent State University

Business Management

The business management major provides students with an in-depth understanding of the important issues related to managing people in the corporate and socio-technical environment in which they work. The major also requires exposure to the function of business such as accounting, finance, and marketing. The broad knowledge base provided by this program prepares students for entry-level management positions, initiating entrepreneurial ventures, or entry into a number of occupational fields when beginning a business career.

All undergraduate programs in Kent State University’s College of Business lead to the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. The programs are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Admission Requirements

Each candidate for the Bachelor of Business Administration must meet requirements in two areas:  the pre-major program (freshman and sophomore) requirements; and the advanced business program (junior and senior) requirements.  At least a 2.50 overall GPA is required for admission to all College of Business Administration majors except economics and marketing.  Admission to the economics major requires a 2.25 GPA while the marketing program admits up to 150 students to the major each fall, using a target GPA of at least 2.50 on a 4.0 scale.
