Human Resource Symposium on July 21 Presented by The Corporate University

The Corporate University at Kent State University at Stark recognizes that in today’s competitive marketplace, equipping yourself and your workforce with the right organizational tools is critical for continued success. In response to this challenge, The Corporate University will present the 2016 Human Resource Symposium to provide training and support by qualified and experienced professionals. 

The Human Resource Symposium will take place on Thursday, July 21 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Conference Center at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township. 

There will be two keynote presentations and four breakout sessions. The keynote sessions include “Inside Out: Unconscious Bias and Its Impact in the Workplace” with Marsha Friedman, MEF Consulting Group, LLC and “Successfully Defending Workers Comp Claims” with Elizabeth Crosby, Partner, Labor and Employment Buckley King. 

The breakout sessions will be led by experts from multiple disciplines with real-world experience. Topics include: 

  • Business performance 
  • Effective leadership 
  • Emotional intelligence 
  • Proactive recruiting
