Kent State Stark Community Remembers First Campus Dean, Jack Morehart

The Kent State University at Stark community is deeply saddened by the passing of Jack D. Morehart, an integral member of our history. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family.

As the director of the Canton Academic Center, he was instrumental in establishing Kent State Stark’s physical campus in Jackson Township. His 20-year tenure as our first dean gave us the foundation to produce the quality academic programs to attract generations of students to Stark County’s only public university. Kent State University at Stark’s administrators, staff, students and alumni are proud and grateful to be Jack Morehart’s thriving legacy.

Mr. Morehart’s obituary may be found at www.rossifuneralhomeinc.com/obits/obituary.php?id=587501.
