Returning to the classroom can be a scary and overwhelming process.  Kent State Tuscarawas is committed to supporting students of all ages from admission through graduation.  We’ve compiled some resources for you here, but always feel free to reach out if you have questions.

Applying for Admission

The application process is the same for all students, regardless of age.  What determines your admission requirements is if you enrolled in college, adult education, trade school or any other academic program after high school. 

For more information, choose the appropriate student type below:

  • New Freshman:  You have not enrolled in college, university, adult education, trade school or any other academic program after completing high school or the equivalent.
  • Transfer:  You have enrolled in college, university, adult education, trade school or any other academic program after completing high school or the equivalent.
  • Former Kent State Student:  You were previously enrolled at Kent State University (any campus), not including College Credit Plus, Dual Enrollment, or Post-Secondary courses.

Registering for Classes
  • ​​​​​​Your academic advisor will help you choose classes, from your first semester to your last, so you stay on track to graduate. After you have been admitted, an admissions counselor will contact you to schedule an academic advising appointment.
  • If you are a new freshman, you will attend a KSU Advising & Registration session to register for your first semester. In future semesters you'll meet individually with your advisor, who is assigned to you based on your major.
  • Transfer students meet individually with an academic advisor from the very first semester.
