Cap, Gown & Tassel
Students can purchase their cap, gown, and tassel from the Stark Campus or Kent Campus Bookstores. Both have stock available to purchase. Kent State graduates wear a black cap and gown. Your tassel color is determined by the university college that offers your degree. Please direct questions to the Stark Campus Bookstore at 330-244-5112 or email SM8153@BNcollege.com. You are not required to purchase your cap and gown through the university.
Stark Campus Bookstore Hours:
- 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. / Monday and Tuesday
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / Wednesday and Thursday
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. / Friday
Students can also order directly online from Josten's.
- The deadline to order directly from Josten's is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. (After that date, students can still place orders, however, it’s not guaranteed that you will receive materials on time for Commencement.)
- There is a shipping fee for regular ground shipping of approximately $20.
- Orders cannot be sent to a PO Box.
The Kent Campus Grad Fair will take place at the University Bookstore located at the Kent Campus Student Center. Stop in for a chance to win a raffle, purchase your cap and gown, and enjoy light refreshments. GradImages will be there to take headshots and cap and gown photos. Josten's will be available to assist with purchasing your announcements, class rings, and more!
