A Message from Kent State Tuscarawas Interim Athletic Director Dakota Wright
Dear Campus and Community Members,
Kent State University at Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Athletics is experiencing one of the most successful and exciting years in campus history. From academic achievements to national recognition, our student-athletes continue to set new standards of excellence.
I am happy to share with you some of the academic and athletic achievements during the 2025 Fall Semester, while thanking you for all you have done to help promote our athletic program and our student-athletes, today and in the future.
Academic Achievement
The men’s basketball team continues to excel in the classroom, posting an impressive team GPA of 3.029, highlighting the program’s commitment to success both academically and athletically. We continue to strive for academic success in all sports by implementing study tables, tutoring and more.
Basketball Success
- Women’s basketball is off to a historic 10–2 start, currently ranked 6th in the nation — the highest ranking in program history.
- Men’s basketball is also making waves nationally, currently ranked 10th in the nation.
Volleyball Excellence
The women’s volleyball team completed an outstanding 2025 season as USCAA National runner-up, showcasing elite talent on the national stage.
Golf Achievements
- Men’s golf recorded its highest national finish ever, placing 4th at Nationals.
- Women’s golfer Leah Wright finished an outstanding 5th place at Nationals. The women’s golf program continues to grow and will feature a full team next season with new recruits joining the program.
Baseball, Bowling, and Softball Growth
- Baseball is off to the best start in campus history, opening the season at 5–3.
- Bowling continues to build momentum, with program numbers (playing and team) improving each year.
- Softball now has a full roster and is ready to compete for a strong and successful season.
All-American Honors
We proudly recognize our USCAA All-Americans for their outstanding performances this Fall:

- Allie Keller – Volleyball, Honorable Mention
- Elizabeth Keller – Volleyball, Honorable Mention
