Kent State Tuscarawas Recognized at the Ohio State House

Kent State University at Tuscarawas received recognition at the Ohio State House this week in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the campus on University Drive in New Philadelphia.

A weeklong celebration will be held to commemorate the 50th anniversary Mon., Sept. 10, through Sun., Sept. 16, 2018.

Highlights from the past fifty years will be featured every evening throughout the week honoring the history of Kent State Tuscarawas, beginning with a special encore appearance from comic writer Dave Barry on Monday. Tuesday through Thursday of the week will feature reunions of Kent State Tuscarawas alumni, former athletic team members and campus retirees. Local favorites Bob and Melody Liberatore will perform a dramatic presentation on the Performing Arts Center stage Friday evening. On Saturday, a formal dinner by invitation will feature special guest speakers. The week will culminate with a Community Open House scheduled for Sunday.
