Janik Drive will be Closed Friday, May 25, 2018
All day Friday, May 25, 2018, Janik Drive, from Summit Street to the intersection right before the Bowman/Satterfield Halls R7 parking lot, will be closed in order to repair and repave that section of the road. Please follow the posted detour routes. To enter the R7 parking lot, drive from Summit Street on to Risman Drive West. When exiting the R7 lot, take Risman Drive West and turn left on to Summit Street (eastbound). If you need to travel westbound, please allow extra drive time and follow detours, since Summit Street is one-way eastbound-only in this area. If necessary, construction might have continue into Saturday, May 26, 2018.
Roadwork Continues on Loop Road and Johnston Drive
Loop Road: Through early June, storm sewer repairs continue along the entire stretch of Loop Road, from Summit Street to Horning Road. Striping operations will begin this week. The road remains open and flaggers are directing traffic through the work zone as it moves along the roadway.
Johnston Drive: Johnston Drive remains open via a detour through the R-38/C-Science parking lot. Stewart Hall employees and visitors should park in the R-6 parking lot at the front of the building or in the lower C-Science parking lot.
Parking Lots: Henderson Hall R-8 and adjacent C-Science parking lots are closed. Employees should park in the C-Science lot near the Liquid Crystals Materials Science Building.
Please follow the posted detour routes and drive cautiously around active worksites.
Traffic and other updates will be posted on the Summit Street website throughout this City of Kent project.
