Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations while managing shipping documentation and logistics paperwork. This role ensures accurate financial recordkeeping and timely preparation of shipping documents, helping maintain smooth coordination between accounting, warehouse, and logistics teams.
Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
- Maintain accurate financial records and data entry in accounting systems
- Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
- Handle billing, collections, and vendor communications
- Support audits by organizing financial documentation
Shipping & Documentation Duties:
- Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, packing slips, invoices)
- Verify shipment details for accuracy (quantities, addresses, pricing)
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule shipments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
